Hiring: Toddler Teacher

Run-A-Muck Child Care Center is looking to hire individuals to join our team who are passionate about working with children and aiding in their development and education. Individuals for this role should be dependable, nurturing, and have a loving style. A strong knowledge of child development is a must.

Whether you have years of experience or have recently received your Early Childhood Certificate, we are here to support you in your experience.

Responsibilities

  • Teach young children in the areas of social, emotional, physical, and academic growth.

  • Projects a professional and friendly work ethic with others.

  • Work closely with families of the children.

  • Completes weekly lesson plans following the curriculum and individual developmental needs of the children in their care.

  • Maintains day-to-day organization of materials within the center as described within the Run-A-Muck Child Care Center policies.

  • Maintains yearly continuing education in the area of child development and special education.

  • Maintains a well-organized and clean classroom environment following the individual classroom cleaning schedule.

  • Observes children regularly and can record their development progress through notes, checklists, and portfolio evidence.

  • Writes progress reports on students as described in Run-A-Muck Child Care Center policies.

  • Continually meets with and is supportive of families and any specialists of children in your classroom to further the relationship between home and school.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Teacher qualified according to the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC).

  • Infant and Toddler Teacher candidates must hold at least an Associate's Degree in a related field of study.

  • Preschool Teacher candidates must hold a Bachelor's Degree in a related field of study.

  • Childcare experience: 1 year (Preferred)

  • CPR Certification (Preferred)

  • CORI & Fingerprinting will be required

  • Strong written and communication skills

  • Citizenship, residency, or work visa required
